From the founderThe Story I Haven't Really Told
Twelve months ago, I stepped on a scale and it read 227 lbs. I remember standing there a second too long, just looking at the number. Not shocked. Just tired of being surprised by the same number over and over.
I want to be honest about something: I wasn't lazy. I'd tried the diets, the gym memberships that turned into guilt, cutting carbs, cutting meals. Every time, the same thing happened. I'd white-knuckle it for a few weeks, then the hunger would win. Not “I want a snack” hunger. The kind that's actually noise in your head, all day, until giving in felt less like failure and more like survival.
I started Neshiva partly out of frustration with how broken this whole category felt. I'd talk to people who'd tried everything, just like me, and get told the same tired advice: eat less, move more, try harder. Like we hadn't already tried harder than anyone gave us credit for.
So when I sat down with a licensed provider for a real evaluation, not a five-minute form, I didn't expect much. I'd been let down before. But the provider actually took the time to understand my history, what I'd already tried, and whether a real treatment made sense for me specifically, not just handed me something off a shelf.
What changed wasn't willpower. Once I started the treatment my provider recommended, the constant fight in my head just got quieter. Not off completely. Quieter. Enough that I could make normal decisions about food instead of negotiating with myself over every meal.
By month two, my clothes fit differently. By month four, I had energy again, the kind I hadn't felt since my twenties. And through all of it, I wasn't just left on my own, my provider checked in, adjusted things when needed, and actually treated this like ongoing care, not a one-time transaction.

Twelve months later, I weigh 195 lbs.
That's 32 lbs different, but honestly, the number isn't even the part I care about most. It's that I stopped fighting my own body every day. It's that I built Neshiva knowing firsthand what real treatment, guided by a real provider, actually feels like, not just a shipment showing up with no one checking in.
Everybody's story looks different, that's exactly why a real provider evaluation matters instead of a one-size-fits-all plan. But I wanted to be honest about where this company actually came from.
If any part of this sounds familiar, find out if this treatment could work for you too, and whether a provider thinks it's the right fit.
